We’ve used the time in lockdown to invigorate our displays and create some new ones. The fort has never failed to develop and respond to evolving challenges through its 400 year history, and we’re maintaining that tradition.
When we open 21 May you can have fun sending and receiving messages using semaphore signal flags and Morse code stations – dit-dah-dit-dah.
View a chilling Cold War government public information film explaining how to protect yourself and your family in the event of a nuclear attack. Watch the man jump off his bike and into a ditch!
And we celebrate the involvement of the Royal Marines at the fort and what they do today.
