A number of the town's most favoured attractions were highlighted by readers, including Landguard Fort, Mannings Amusements and the seafront gardens.

The fort is a Grade 1 Listed Monument while the seafront gardens are in the top of the national list of public gardens of historical importance.

The newspaper canvassed its readers for their favourite coastal towns and Felixstowe came out second. The popular beach was recognised for being 'prosperous without being pretentious'.
