The Circus Exhibition: Saturday 27th August- Monday 26th September

The Circus looks at the scale and complexity of the operations at Felixstowe Port and explores our relationship to it. A circus-like space will be created in the casemates, filled with a series of exhibits featuring drawings and sculptures of ordinary objects that have been transformed in scale, weight and texture. Each of these exhibits will mark a relationship to the mathematical oddities and rarities found in the sailing schedule at Felixstowe Port, creating a visual way to understand both these facts and figures of Britain's busiest port and some of the sentiments that go with it.
Artist in Residence: Monday 22nd to Friday 26th August (Normal entry charges apply)
Viyki will be hosting a viewing party in Landguard Fort, to watch one boat dock at Felixstowe Port. She will discuss her research and reasons for selecting the boat-expect both real and fanciful accounts! The times of each day's viewing party will be posted nearer to the date.
Workshop Sessions: 7th , 14th & 24th September, 2-4pm (Normal entry charges apply)
Viyki will offer a tour of the exhibition, followed by a practical drawing session. Just bring paper and pencils. Please book in advance at operations@landguard.com
