Guided Walk and Picnic

This day is aimed at photographers at any level of ability. If you are a beginner and want to pick up some techniques or are a keen amateur and want to learn new skills or just want an excuse to spend the day taking pictures this is a great opportunity to do so.

The day starts with a briefing and guidance on techniques and tips to get great pictures. Then the tour and picture taking starts. The first stop is at Landguard Fort where there is a multitude of different images to be obtained, from the historic architecture to close ups of the structure, which provide great pictures of textures, colours and pattern. A short walk to the View Point where again there are so many photographic opportunities which include the cranes at the port, ships coming and going, together with seagulls scavenging for food to name a few. Then moving towards the Nature Reserve where landscape pictures are all around incorporating the structures that are part of the site.

We will stop for a picnic lunch and afterwards continue with picture taking on the reserve before heading back to review images and the day. During the day professional photographer James Fletcher will be on hand to guide you and give one to one advice on how to achieve the best possible images as well as answer any questions you have about all aspects of your photography.

Cost: £50.00. You must pre-book in advance for this workshop.

Participants need to bring a packed lunch for the picnic - but cake, tea and coffee will be served.
