28th May – 24th June

‘Flint & Forgery‘ is a playfully deceptive installation of invented, forged and sculpted natural objects. These are created in response to Landguard Fort and the surrounding peninsula. Focussing on its geology and landscape, the artworks will primarily be created from flint, a material long associated with the East Anglian landscape. Drawing on ideas from experimental archaeology, a series of sculptures made from appropriated natural objects will be displayed within the casemates at the Fort. The artist will make intuitive alterations to the ‘finds’ to create rarities from common materials.
Artist Resident from May 25th - May 27th
